WOODBURNERS & STOVES

In the current economic climate of rising fuel costs and the current ecological climate of increasingly colder Winters', a Wood burning or Multi fuel stove is fast becoming the most efficient and environmentally friendly way of heating your home.

An open fire may be romantic and beautiful to look at but up to 80% of the heat generated goes straight up the chimney. The opposite is the case with a multi fuel stove, as most are 75-80% heat efficient. So, modern stoves aren't just clean, super- efficient and environmentally friendly, when installed in a purpose built fireplace, they are beautiful objects in their own right.

In some cases a stove can be piped up to your heating system, running radiators and heating water, making them the obvious alternative to Gas and Oil.

With everybody trying to lower their Carbon footprint, wood burning is a very environmentally friendly form of heating. When growing, a tree takes in Carbon dioxide from the air, when burned that Carbon dioxide is released to be trapped again by another tree. This means that overall Carbon Dioxide levels in the atmosphere stay the same, thus not contributing to the 'greenhouse effect' (Apart from the Carbon released by the processing and transportation of the wood)

Stoves come in many styles, shapes and sizes, the choice is practically endless, but I can advise you on an appliance that is the right size (KW), style (to suit the style of your home) and which model can be most effectively installed.

Purchasing your new stove from a local shop or dealer is always a good idea as this way you will receive good advice and back up after I have installed it.
