PEOPLE & PRODUCTSOver the last 30 years in the building trade, I have sourced, and am now supported by, a host of top class local businesses and shops, who supply stoves, hearths, mantles and all other related materials used in the building of fireplaces and solid fuel installations. In addition to this, during an installation I can also provide reliable, qualified local tradesmen ( i.e. plumbers, electricians, roofers, sandblasters and joiners) if and when required.
Hearths:-Hearths are available in many different materials, from local Sandstone to granite from Africa. All my hearths and surrounds are measured and templated by me and made by Companies local to Penrith, whose products are absolutely top quality and excellent value for money. I can also construct a tiled hearth made from the tile of your choice ( providing it is suitable) Granite, Quarry or Porcelain tiles can all be used, thus catering for all tastes and budgets. 
Mantles:-Beautiful timber or stone mantles can be designed and made, again by local firms who are expert in what they do. The timber used in my mantles is all 'kiln dried', so it won't shrink or twist when placed above a hot stove. Beams and Bricks:-
Fire Surrounds:-
Stone and Timber surrounds can also be tailor made to suit the size and style of your home. You may be lucky enough to live in an older property, where original stone surrounds can be uncovered. If they are still in good condition they can be sandblasted back to their former glory and have a sandblasted hearth made to match.

Oak beams are a popular choice in an Inglenook fireplace. Whether you are looking for a 'distressed' country cottage look or a sharp more contemporary style (top grade Oak, square edged, no knots), I can source these from local suppliers at the most competitive prices, even at short notice.
Old bricks are traditionally used in Inglenook fireplaces. I can show you samples of brick, from reproduction hand- made clay bricks to local West Cumbrian recovered salvaged brick.
Antique and reproduction Marble fire surrounds can be installed and can really make a stove look and feel part of a Victorian style living room.
